Daniela Nardi's project, Espresso Manifesto - The Songs of Paolo Conte, her latest, is in stores on July 17 (Acronym Records / EMI Music Canada.)

Singer, musician and songwriter, Nardi was born in Toronto to Italian immigrants. On Espresso Manifesto-The Songs of Paolo Conte, she offers her personal reinterpretations of some of the greatest classics from the legendary singer. She deftly explores repertoire that forced her out of her comfort zone, while giving it the feminine and sensual touch.

Nardi, who produced the album, and her husband, renowned pianist and composer Ron Davis, went to Italy to record it at Studio Elettra, with the legendary producer and engineer Pasquale Minieri (Gianmaria Testa, Vinicio Capossela). The musicians, in addition to the renowned clarinettist Gabriele Mirabassi, are pros of Italian jazz: Dario Rosciglione (bass - Norah Jones), Fausto Mesolella (guitars - Paolo Conte, Gianmaria Testa), Michele Rabbia (percussion - Stefano Battaglia), Luciano Biondini (accordion - Rita Marcotulli, Enrico Rava) Fabrizio Bosso (trumpet), and Marcello DiLeonardo (drums).
